3DSystems Cube 3D 2nd Gen Backup

I have included a .hex with the v2.08 software on it. So far through my testing the "crap hack" still works despite some other on the 'cube3d.createaforum' saying otherwise. I've attempted to write a tutorial on how to flash your printer.

|
1. Download "cube_v20.8.hex" onto your PC
|
||
|
|
2. On your printer, tap "Setup" then scroll to "Update Firmware"
|
||
|
|
3. It will prompt you to remove your USB Stick then click "next"
|
||
|
|
4. Connect your PC to the Printer using a USB A to USB Type B cable.
|
||
|
|
5. Tap "next" and it should say "SETTINGS SAVED"
|
||
|
|
6. It will prompt you to press and hold the button for 6 seconds
|
||
|
|
7. If done successfully it should read "CUBE FIRMWARE LOADER V1" on the screen
|
||
|
|
8. Open the Cube Software
|
||
|
|
9. Click "Configure" in the bottom right of the app
|
||
|
|
10. Click "Load New Cube Firmware"
|
||
|
|
11. It should attempt and fail to make contact to the 3DSystems servers. After dismissing this message it should prompt you to pick a file to flash. Pick the .hex file.

||
|
|
12. After flashing your printer should be running v2.08!
