Because connecting to the internet on KDE took more steps than just clicking on a wifi symbol.


To set up connection configurations:
  1. Click bottom left KDE icon bringing up several options
  2. Go to Preferences
  3. Click KDE System Settings
  4. Type in Wifi in the search bar
  5. Click on the green + button on bottom of list
  6. Click on Wi-fi
  7. Set up Wifi name
  8. Click on tab over to Wifi Security
  9. Enter wifi password
  10. Press save & apply the changes
  11. Ensure the connection on the Network Connections list says "Connected"
  12. You're now connected to the Internet!
