(hey it worked for [Quantinuum](1. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1KY9BpdFbF2ANMypJ3ysd0944mLnisMHEw4UPrMhAr7Y/edit)!)
**Dear Respected Hiring Team at Quantinuum,
My name is Shwetha (Shway for short) & I had made my first steps at pursuing my dream of obtaining a career in the quantum industry by moving to New York City to obtain my masters in computer science at the New York Institute of Technology here in Manhattan. I obtained my bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Computer Science, Social Science, & Technology (B.S.)
While I was living here in New York City,  I came to know of many working in the tech industry and found a community among the developers both in my university as well as around Manhattan. I recently met with Mark Jackson after attending a virtual quantum career fair hosted by QURECA on March 3rd. After meeting Mark a few blocks away from my university which I attend in the evenings on 2 days of the week to finish my masters degree, I increased my confidence to apply to a quantum computing company upon hearing that Quantinuum was interested in hiring talented programmers. I care deeply about the answers that quantum computing can provide for the world in a global sense so I am deeply dedicated to bringing quantum solutions for optimization uses for the whole planet.
Engineering-wise, I am a software developer by training having taken mainly computer science courses in my undergraduate years at the University of Connecticut as well as further undergraduate computer science courses when I transferred to NYIT to complete my bachelors degree and pursue my masters in a computer science combined program. I have contributed to several open source projects of Google, IBM, and Q-Ctrl (a quantum error correction company) and my particular passion is in advancing quantum computing technologies. Most recently, I was a machine learning developer intern at Schrodinger, Inc where we did weekly standups, code reviews, pair programming, and development sprints in order to improve specific features on a protein prediction software. I am versatile in several programming languages having started coding at 12 years old, but most commonly I am the most comfortable with using Python. My github link has some examples of projects I have worked on throughout the years as well attached to this application.
Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I can be contacted at sjayaraj@nyit.edu or flexibly on my phone at +18609672188.  Once again, I am very excited at the potential to work as a quantum compiler at Quantinuum if given the opportunity, and am motivated to work hard not to let the company down. Thanks again for taking the time & I look very much forward to hearing back about my application.
Sincerely,
Shwetha Jayaraj
