The Bernstein-Vazirani algorithm was presented at a conference in 1993 , and the full paper was published in 1997 , being the first deterministic quantum algorithm with linear gain over the best deterministic or randomized classical algorithm. The Bernstein-Vazirani algorithm explores quantum parallelism but has no entanglement at all.
