Released in 2006 but updated as of 2013 as development furthers. The full download can be found [here](http://www.libquantum.de/). It seems to have a full implementation of many major quantum computing components.
- An author of libquantum, Hendrik Weimer, has published a paper in _[Nature](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nature_(journal) "Nature (journal)")_ about using [Rydberg atoms](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rydberg_atom "Rydberg atom") for universal quantum simulation with colleagues, using his own work.
